Feyborn—term commonly used as a reference to anyone with Fey heritage. Includes Elves, Eladrin, and Half-fey.

Note: Today the major division among the Feyborn is not along the lines of, but those of theology.

Though the Fey gods had begun to diminish in power (and some believe, numbers) before the War of Crimson Ash, many actually perished in that conflict. The absence of their gods caused a crisis within the Feyborn peoples, and there developed a rift between two primary factions. The Traditionalists, longing for the days of glory before the death of their gods, began to search for a way to resurrect the Feyborn pantheon. Others joined the Primalists, who have once again come to embrace the power of nature. While there are those that have chosen to refrain from indulging either path, these individuals are extremely rare, and nearly unheard of. Where Half-Fey are raised in Feyborn communities, they choose one of these paths, but it is unsurprising to the outside observer that those reared in other cultures need not feign their indifference.

Eld’rahiin

With the rise of Als’alonn a new division among the feyborn was created. The eladrin of Ays’illith slaughter all elves within the kingdom claiming them to be “corrupted”. After the purge the remaining eladrin called themselves the Eld’rahiin, roughly meaning “pure” or “perfect”. The difference between eladrin and Eld’rahiin is strictly cultural.
