Plains of Torann
These large fertile plains stretch from Deme’t’ra’s western coast to the Karasi Highlands. To the north, the Plains are bounded by Nesari’s Bulwark, while to the south lie the Galtas’k Hills. At their northernmost edge, the Plains extend (between some intermittent hills) to the Grave Baronies. Of the many rivers that wind their ways through the Plains of Torann, the Zergis River is by far the largest, cutting the Plains in half.
The western edge of the plains is covered by low, craggy hills, crisscrossed by numerous streams and small rivers. These hills are known for rich ore deposits, as well as treacherous sinkholes and marshes. The largest of these marshes is at the mouth of Zergis River, and it is home to the mighty city of Ammad.
After the War of Crimson Ash came to an end, many small kingdoms sprang into being throughout the region. The only kingdoms of any real historical import are Mejrakk, Qnajj, Sarset and the Ir Dessi Protectorate to the north of the Zergis River, and Aganas’k, Taghjer, Haal’ca and Ot’vakar to the south. Nestled between the foothills of the Yer’a’vaan Mountains and the Karasi Highlands are the remains of the ancient Fey kingdom of Riil’var, as well as kingdoms of Natiir, Aascheral, and Roosa’ki.
