Former Imperial Seat of the Haan Sad Empire, today Sarset is merely a shadow of its former glory. During the War of Crimson Ash the city itself was spared the wrath of the Drakkath Empire by the direct order of Nefedarss’thalonatii herself. As the forces of the Dragon Empire retreated, many Dragonborn stayed behind to presumably protect Sarset from destruction. Over the next coupe of centuries Sarset’s ties with Drakkath Empire have weakened and eventually broke, yet the Dragonborn still protect the city as if their very souls depended on it.
As the echoes of the War died down, many misplaced Deva returned to the city, only to find it occupied by the forces of the Dragon Empire. However they found that the Dragonborn were not interested in fighting. Rather, they have become enigmatic protectors of the city itself, with little care for its citizens.
The Imperial City of Sarset is one of the largest cities in Drashlan. It’s population is believed to be above 200,000 citizens, with thousands of visitors each year. In the year 412 of the Shattered Calendar Sarset was connected to Qnajj with a steam rail line, making it the longest rail line in the world.
